I think this Was E C at his best playing with Tapers The rod is in very good condition ready to fish Its straight. ferrules fit good My research shows. me this rod was built when E C. and his son in law. Tony Maslan were working together. The reelseat s have the Marysville stamp. the bag is the old style. When E C Left the shop Tony changed the bag by adding a second layer of cloth at the bottom I think the Companion rods was somewhat of a custom order rod with differnt lengths and combinations.
