31/4” dia. with x spool Reel & spool are new never had a line on it Reel can be right or left It is now set up for left I will change it if needed The orginal Bougle was made in 1909 It was die cast then This reel is C N C machined from solid bar stock this 31/4 size is one great reel for up to a #6 line I like it on my model 856
