This is a great piece of American Bamboo rod makeing history My research shows it was made about 1910. A J . Campbell s book Classic & Antique Fly Fishing Tackle. page 150 has a lot of info. about Hiram Hawes & this rod The rod has 1 tip & it is 2” short. I belive this rod has all orginal guides & wraping except the tip top The nicklesilver reel seat is stamped Hawes rod Co. maker. & Ambercombia & Fitch. I have lawn cast it Its very fishable with a Dt.5 line
