He wraped it black with yellow tiping & gave it a hand rubbed oil finnish. Its a very pretty rod I have lawn cast it and like it with both 4 & 5 Wt. lines. Its a casting machine For fishing a small brush covered river like the Driggs in Michigan s. U P a W F. 5 would work best for me were most cast are 30 Ft. or less
