8’#5 to 6 line 2tips bag and tube one tip is 3/4 “ short rod is wraped in red The rod was built for Fred Bear the famous bow hunter and founder of Bear Archery Fred & Lyle were friends They both did some of there work in Detroit Then moved north Lyle Dickerson to Belair & Fred Bear to Grayling The Bear archery factory was in walking distance of the Ausable river I would guess the red wraps were a special request by Fred Lyle told me that Fred had talked to him about useing bamboo in his bows Like the Howard Hill bows But I have never seen or heard of one But being friends with Lyle I would Think he would of tryed it I have lawn cast it and like it with both 5&6 Wt. lines This a great all around trout rod To fish & collect
