Burns by Doug Meivck in early 1950’s <r Burns published Advanced Fly Fishing in 1953. He writes a lot about using this rod. A copy of the book will go with the rod and a letter from the present owner of the rod telling how he come to own the rod. Mr Burns was a war correspondent . He was killed in Irag July 1958 He lived a very active life but always found time to fly fish. The present owner had the rod ‘refinished at the Winston shop in California about thirty years ago. It still looks like new. I have lawn cast it and like it 4 and 5 wt lines. Its a sime parabolic action mcuh like the Paul Young midge.
