Bob Doerr model, serial #3883 9 foot, number 7 to 8 line, 2 piece two tips bag and tube, built 1960. After fishing the Rogue River in Oregon with Bob Doerr in 1951 Paul Young designed and named this model the Bob Doerr. If you're after big fish on a fly this is the rod to use. The rod is in excellent condition and shows very little use. It was one of the last rods Paul Young had a hand in making. It was delivered in February 1960 he died in April 1960. The action is a smooth powerful feeling, semi parabolic. There were only 27 of this model made. To find one in this condition is rare.
